TEAM REPORT FOR THE WEEK OF JANUARY 9, 2012
Brothers and Sisters,
As we start the New Year our Standing Committees will be meeting to plan their calendar of events for the New Year. Committee members please keep a look out for meeting notifications on company bulletin boards and in the paper. If you know of anyone who may want to join a committee with you please invite them to the meeting and get them signed up. Committee coordinators have been assigned from the Executive Board so events can get approved in a timely manner. Let’s work together with our committees to make this an enjoyable and rewarding year for everyone.
The UAW Caterpillar Council is scheduled to meet January 12-13, 2012 along with the Ag-Imp and Transnational councils in Palm Springs CA. President Mark Patton, Bargaining Chairman Joe Morel will attend this meeting along with Committeemen Dave Torres and Don Rohrer. We will report on the meeting when we return.
Steward Training is scheduled for Friday January 27, 2012. There will be three sessions scheduled throughout the day to accommodate all three shifts. Stewards should expect an invitation in the mail for this important training. This training will be specific to the new contract language and all stewards are expected to attend. If you have any questions about this training contact your Committeeman or Bargaining Chairman Joe Morel.
It seems the postings for the January membership meeting were taken down too soon from the company bulletin boards. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. The next few months have no anticipated changes and the meeting will fall on the usual third Sunday of the month. February Meeting will be on Sunday the 19th. Mark your calendars.
