TEAM REPORT FOR THE WEEK OF JANUARY 1, 2012

Brothers and Sisters,

We would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. If one of your resolutions for the New Year is to be more involved with your union you can begin this Sunday, January 8th, 2011. Membership Meeting starts at 2:00pm, Union Stewards Meet at 12:30. All members in good standing are encouraged to attend and be an active participant in the direction of your union. What a great way to start the New Year!

We regret to inform you that Bargaining Chairman of Unit #4 Tom Walz has resigned from his position. Due to personal reasons Tom has decided to step down.  Tom has agreed to fulfill his role as Chairman until an election can be held. Tom has done an outstanding job as chairman of Unit #4 and will be missed. We wish him all the best in his endeavors and hope he remains involved.

There will be a special meeting of the Election Committee immediately following the Membership meeting on Sunday, January 8th 2011. The purpose of this meeting is to select a Chairman and Co Chairman and to schedule an election for the office of Bargaining Chairman of Unit #4. All members of the Election Committee should plan to attend this meeting.

The majority of the bylaws changes have been approved by the International Union and will be enforced as such. All Officers and Committee Members will be expected to attend all meetings related to their office and or committee or be excused from such meetings by the President or committee chairman. We fully understand that things come up and unforeseen circumstances arise and may be excused but failure to attend or call is unacceptable. Those who do not fulfill their obligation should expect to be removed from office or committee whichever the case may be. Only when we move together as one can we expect to improve. We look forward to working with each and every one of you as we begin this New Year.

In Solidarity
